We need anti-trust law. Without it our freedoms would be swallowed up by large corporations (who have a much worst track record than the government).

Answer:

Corporations can only become monopolies when government restricts competition (e.g. AT&T). To the best of my knowledge, there has never been a monopoly otherwise. See Chapter 7 in my book, “Healing Our World” for detail.
